Olman Appointed to Two Select Committees
(Columbus) – State Representative Lynn Olman (R-Maumee) has been appointed to two select committees in the Ohio House of Representatives. Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford) announced the appointments in a brief session last week.
Representative Olman will again serve as Co-chair of the Select Committee on Energy Policy. The committee was formed during the last General Assembly to consider energy issues as they relate to Ohio public policy. A report from this committee regarding energy policy is expected this spring.
The second appointment will be a new venture for Rep. Olman as he has been selected to serve on the Select Committee on Quality Healthcare. This group has been charged with examining ways to improve the quality of health care available to all Ohio citizens.
“I’m excited to be serving on this committee this year,” Rep. Olman said. “I think that other than the budget, the issue of access to quality healthcare ranks as a top priority for me and my colleagues in the legislature and the citizens of the state of Ohio.”
Representative Olman added that he was equally interested in making health coverage available to individuals without access.
