Lynn Olman: State Representative

OLMAN HONORED/LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR

Maumee--Representative Olman is the recipient of the “Spirit of Sunshine Award” from the Board of Trustees of Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio. He was given this honor for his commitment to persons with disabilities and their families.

The official proclamation was awarded to Representative Olman on September 26, 2002. The Board recognizes his commitment as a regular participant in the Special Olympics “Kick Off” Activities as well as for his efforts to save the Sunshine respite program benefiting over 100 families who were threatened by the elimination of this program.

Representative Olman will also be honored October 21 at the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Ohio (previously DMDA of Ohio) as “Legislator of the Year” for his work on mental health parity.

He is running to retain his seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, this time running for the 46th House District, formerly the 51st H.D.. Mr. Olman lives in Maumee with his wife Joyce and is the father of three sons, Justin, Ryan, and Trey.
