Maumee--State Representative Lynn Olman’s (R-Maumee) district, the 51st H.D., will now include the Ottawa Hills community in the new 46th House District. The Ohio General Assembly and the Apportionment Committee comprised of statewide elected officials including Governor Taft approved the new lines back in January of 2002.

This means that Ottawa Hills will find themselves with yet another new representative. But this time Representative Olman brings experience to the job for this community. Olman has been serving the area for eight years and if elected again this November will become the senior most member of the Ohio House of Representatives which will allow him the necessary access to continue to assist our region.

“I am extremely excited and honored to now officially represent the citizens of Ottawa Hills,” says Representative Olman. He Continues: “I have many good friends who live in your community that I have assisted and who have assisted me over the years. I look forward to building on those relations.”

He already serves as Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee and has served on the Ways and Means and Insurance Committees.

Representative Olman is seeking to retain his seat for another two years and is very excited about the addition of Ottawa Hills to the district. He has been a member of the Ohio House of Representatives since he was first appointed in 1995. He has sought to serve the public since his early days as member and president of Maumee City Council for fifteen years.

The new 46th H.D. includes all of the original 51st H.D.:
