On October 14th, State Representative Lynn Olman will be visiting the Unison Behavioral Health Group at 2310 Jefferson Ave. in Toledo. Rep. Olman is visiting Unison in support of providing parity in insurance coverage of prescription drugs. This issue has been a staple of Rep. Olman’s tenure in the General Assembly, and he would like to raise greater public awareness of this unfair practice.

“This is a problem that I have worked to solve since my first days in office,” Mr. Olman said. “And one that affects a great number of Ohioans.”

The purpose of the visit is to show the need for prescription drug coverage, and also the positive results of those that can afford the proper medication. Representative Olman’s fight is to end the prohibitive discrimination against the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance abuse in insurance policies.

“My plan is to give citizens that can not afford medication the ability to lead happier, more productive lives,” Mr. Olman said.

Representative Lynn Olman has been a State Representative for seven years and is running for election in the 46th district. Mr. Olman lives in Maumee with his wife Joyce and is the father of three sons, Justin, Ryan, and Trey. I will contact you with more details concerning this issue and Mr. Olman’s tour in the near future.
