Thank you for your support!

06/30/08 Update - It was truly been an honor and privilege to have served the residents of Northwest Ohio in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 through 2004. I took your vote of confidence very seriously and always attempted to represent your collective thoughts when considering matters before the Legislature.

As you are probably aware the Ohio Constitution limits the term of office of the members of the General Assembly therefore I left the Ohio House of Representatives on December 31, 2004.

Since leaving the House I have filled my time working in several other important and worthwhile areas. While in the legislature I worked as an advocate for those who suffer from mental illness. I was asked to join, and I accepted a Board of Directors position with the Lucas County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. I have also accepted a position on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Home Society. Coming from the Christian perspective we serve the elderly and troubled youth in our community. In 2005 I was invited to join the Lucas County Board of Elections. After having been on the ballot as a candidate every two years over a 25 year period it is very interesting to be on the side of carrying out open, honest, and accurate elections. I of course continue to serve my 3000 clients at my insurance business.

There is one new title, for which I am especially proud, that has come since leaving the legislature. The title is Grandpa. I now am the proud Grandfather of two beautiful girls and two handsome boys.

At this time in my life I don't know if I will ever run for elected office again. I have found ways to serve my community, other than as an elected official, and they excite and challenge me. I will through this website keep you my friends up to speed on what I'm doing.

Joyce and I would like to thank the community for your support over the years. It has been and honor.

State Representative Lynn Olman

51st House District Now the 46th

Wondering what's going on with Ohio House Redistricting?

After the 2000 census, the Ohio General Assembly and Governor Taft approved new district lines to accommodate for population fluctuation and thus the former Ohio House District 51represented by State Representative Lynn E. Olman is now the newly created Ohio House District 46.

What area does the 46th encompass?

Basically, the 46th House District is the same as the 51st House District with a few exception. Representative Olman has the distinct pleasure to welcome the Ottawa Hills community into the new 46th while still representing the following areas:

  • Berkey
  • Harding Township
  • Holland
  • Maumee
  • Monclova Township
  • Spencer Township
  • Springfield Township
  • Swanton
  • Swanton Township
  • Sylvania
  • Sylvania Township West of Talmadge Road
  • Providence Township
  • Richfield Township
  • Waterville
  • Waterville Township
  • Whitehouse

For questions about whether you are still a part of Lynn’s district please call 419-897-0210.
